The biography about Kublai Khan(the 100 word)

Kublai Khan was the leader of the devastating attacks on Japan. He and 140,000 other men piled onto more than four thousand ships to try and overthrow the country. He wanted to take over Japan just like he conquered most of Asia. He must have been a great leader to be able to take over most of a continent. His first attempt, out of two, was in 1274. As his men loaded the ships, a typhoon began to build up somewhere far away. He didn't know of this though.
When they arrived at the shores, the men battled the Japanese. The Mongols outnumbered and had a great advantage over Japan. Their greatest mistake was when the Japanese retreated, which meant the Mongols won, but they thought that the Japanese was going for more reinforcement. This scared the Mongols and caused them to retreat as well. The Mongols didn’t give up though because they returned 7 years later in 1281. Two things stopped them from winning. One was the wall that the Japanese built to keep them off their shores, and the other was the great Kamikaze. Ever since then the Mongols haven’t tried to take over Japan.

  1. Kublai khan was a great and fearsome leader. I can remember all men and ships. He wanted Japan more than anything even if it meant losing a few thousand men. The battle was very long and great. He thought he could do it just like how he took over Asia. We had two attempts. As we ventured far out into the ocean a typhoon began to build but we didn’t know it. When we arrived the battle was on. I killed so many men I don’t know how many screams of war I herd. The Japanese started to retreat. We had no clue what to do. So we retreated also. I wish we would’ve stayed now.
